Fibber McGee's Suitcase

It's pretty amazing how much stuff can be packed in a regular carry-on bag. I almost don't believe this demo of super-packed luggage, but I will have a chance to try it myself in the fall. It would be great if we could get through a 15-day trip with just one suitcase each. See the slide show here.

  1. You can do it!! I am a BIG fan of packing light. I find that if I don't take a lot of stuff, airports are much less hassle! It also helps me to feel smug when in the queue behind somebody who has taken a coffin sized suitcase for her Grand Tour (week away in the sun). Here are two blog entries I wrote on the subject.

  2. Yes, but where is the extra rolled-up suitcase for the stuff you will buy over there and bring home to your loved ones?? I travel very light, but I never go anywhere overseas without my extra suitcase. Also, I got over my attitude about ginormous suitcases from working with people from Africa. They bring tons of stuff from here to their families "back home," and then bring lots of goodies back to their pals here.
